Brilliant Ways to Cook with Your Favorite Jam

If the only thing you ever did with jam was spread it on toast, the fruity spread's existence would already be fully justified. But jam wasn't content to stop at toast. Nope, pretty much any dessert (and even a breakfast or two) can benefit from the concentrated sweetness and intensely fruity flavor of great jam, conserves, or preserves hong kong weather.
And even better, opening up a jar of jam to make a sweet treat usually means you're saving time. Like jarred pesto or tapenade, all that concentrated flavor is already there in the jar.
And who doesn't want to cut down the time between wanting a sweet treat and actually eating it?
Use jam as a cake topping. Want to add a fruity touch to a vanilla, chocolate, lemon, or almond cake? After pouring the batter in the pan, top it with dollops of jam and swirl them in, then bake as usual.

Swirl jam into your favorite oatmeal or porridge. Who wants cold chopped fruit in their morning oatmeal when they could have sweet, ultra-flavorful jam instead? Bonus: No need for a separate sweetener.

Make extra-fruity cookies . Sure, adding jam to thumbprint cookies is nothing new. But these extra-thick cookies can accommodate even more jam than usual, making every bite a burst of fruit.

Spread jam on crepes or pancakes. Sure, you can make fancy crepes and spread them with jam instead of (or hey, in addition to) nutella. Another option? Top your pancakes with sour cream and your favorite jam for a tangy, sweet and sour kick.

Heck, mix jam into the cake batter itself! That delicate pink color you see in the cake? That's courtesy of jam, my friend . Yep, the concentrated texture and low water content of jam means you can fold it into cake batter to make it fruit-flavored. Orange marmalade cake, anyone?
